Coldroom Preventative Maintenance |
| |
Proper care and attention of the Trent Custom coldroom is essential to prevent down time and unsightly appearance.
The following preventative maintenance procedures should be observed, in order to maintain a positive appearance and an efficient operating condition. |
| |
| |
General Cleaning |
| |
We recommend that the panelling of your coldroom be cleaned at least once a week. The interior should be washed with a soft cloth that has been immersed in warm soapy water then wrung out. Rinse with clean fresh water in the same manner and wipe dry with a clean soft cloth. The exterior of coldroom can be cleaned in the same manner. |

| |
Condenser |
| |
Condenser radiator should be cleaned quarterly or more often in dusty conditions or dirty environment, using a soft brush to remove any dirt or dust.
Dust and dirt build up on this unit will reduce the cooling efficiency and mat cause the fan motors to fail, which could the cause the condenser to burn out and may void warranty.
Do not restrict air flow through condenser or evaporator. Vent grills must be kept clear and away from obstructions. |
| |
| |
Evaporator Drain |
| |
A build up of dirt or food particles can cause a blockage in the coldroom evaporator drain.
We recommend the drain be checked for blockages and flushed on a weekly basis. Gently pour one litre of luke warm water down the drain. |

Door Seals |
| |
Frequent cleaning of rubber door seals is essential to prolong door seal life. Brush groove of seal with a soft bristle brush to remove any debris, then wash with a cloth that has been immersed in warm soapy water that has been wrung out. Wipe dry with a clean soft cloth.

Storage |
| |
Do not overload coldroom. Cool air should be allowed to circulate freely through stock. |

| |
General |
| |
Do not leave door open (keep door open to a minimum), as coldroom temperature will not be maintained and will cause excessive ice build up on evaporator. Too much ice will result in warmer storage conditions.
Evaporator coil will defrost automatically and under normal operating conditions, will prevent excessive ice build up.
If irregular or unusual sounds are observed or alarm condition is activated, keep entry to room to a minimum and contact Trent Refrigeration Pty Ltd at your earliest opportunity, to prevent the possibility of any long term damage.
In the interests of correct programming and maintenance, do not touch any controls.
